ABOUT US
Growing Youth : Growing Communities
Here at 1st Mitcham Scout Group, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making our community a better place for all. Through the youth of Mitcham and surrounding areas, we strive to build respectful relationships in a positive culture of discovery and adventure. Our volunteers all aim to make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
SCOUTING SECTIONS
JOEY SCOUTS
Boys and Girls Aged: 5-7
Meetings: Mon 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Tailored programme to enrich young minds through discovery and play.
CUB SCOUTS
Boys and Girls Aged:: 8-10
Meetings: Wed 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Learning and engaging with the community, youths start their journey of lifelong self-discovery.
SCOUTS
Boys and Girls Aged: 11-14
Meetings: Thurs 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Outdoor adventures and scout-centred initiatives, builds resilience and purpose in youth.
VENTURER SCOUTS
Young Men and Women Aged: 14-18
Meetings: Monday 7.15 - 9.30 pm
Teenagers supporting teenagers, through social events and outdoor expeditions. Venturer Scouts do community service and positive risk taking to cast the character of youths during this formative period of their lives.
