First Aid Course
First Aid courses are operated by Erica Halliwell (Fawkes First Aid) and conducted at the First Aid Centre located at the 1st Mitcham Scout Hall.

HLTAID009 (Provided CPR)
This course includes 2–4-hour eLearning modules to be completed prior to the course date, as well as a morning (8:00 am - 12:00 noon) of CPR training.
​
HLTAID011 (Provide CPR and Basic Firest Aid)
This course includes 4–6 hours of eLearning modules to be completed prior to the course date, as well as a full day (8:00 am – 4:40 pm) of practical first aid. This qualification may satisfy components of Stage 5 scout badgework requirements.

HLTAID013 (Provide First Aid in Remote & Isolated Sites)
This course includes 5-8 hour eLearning modules, a full weekend of practical remote first aid training, accommodation, and catering. This qualification may satisfy components of Stage 7 scout badgework requirements.

First Aid and CPR
Training for Kids
We offer First Aid and CPR courses for Kids
When the parent or a grandparent needs first aid, it is often the child who is the first responder.
​
We arm children with the knowledge and skills needed to save a life, and prevent what could become life-long anxiety in the child, by teaching them what to do in a medical emergency. Built around play, this course designed for children start at $50 per child.

Our First Aid Leadership
Erica Halliwell
Erica has over 10 years experience as a qualified First Aid trainer. She was with the scout first aid team, volunteering her services to the scout movement. She continues to be an active adult leader in the scout movement.
Currently, she operates Fawkes First Aid, a leader in the providing emergency response training in the Eastern Melbourne area.
In addition, she is an events first aid officer with St John's Ambulance and a commissioned officer training army cadets within the Australian Defence Force.

The accredited training and assessment will be conducted by Fawkes First Aid under LivCor responsibility and direction. Accredited First aid training is offered by LivCor, RTO 3586 which will be responsible for the quality of training and assessment provided and for the issuing of Statements of Attainment for the units of competency on its scope.
